Deloitte’s Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Program connects legal executives with business leaders and innovators to help them master their complex leadership role atop the worlds of law and business by providing actionable insights and cutting-edge resources.
Deloitte's CLO Program offers a suite of customized and immersive lab experiences for chief legal officers, chief compliance officers, and legal operations executives. These executive Transition Labs and Elevate Labs are designed to help leaders allocate their most important resources—time, talent, and stakeholder relationships—efficiently and effectively, while also focusing on aligning personal priorities with those of the business. During the lab, executives will create a 180-day action plan for addressing their most pressing challenges.
The CLO Program also offers team labs for legal, compliance, and legal operations teams. These labs are designed to address specific challenges facing legal, compliance, and legal operations teams. Examples include: alignment on vision, strategy, goals, and/or responsibilities; unifying new/existing teams, and Business Chemistry labs to help teams better understand how they work best, as well as how to work best with others.
Nicole Morris, professor of practice and director of the IP & Innovation Clinic and the Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER) Program at Emory Law, discusses innovation at the intersection of law, business, and emerging tech. From law school classrooms to in-house legal departments and the evolving dynamics of outside counsel relationships, Nicole breaks down what’s changing, where some of the biggest opportunities are, and how leaders can take a more strategic approach to adoption.
Regina Bynote Jones, senior vice president and chief legal officer of Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM), talks with Resilient podcast CLO track host Don Fancher about pivotal moments in her career. Regina shares how her experiences taught her invaluable lessons in perseverance, the importance of asking for help, and the power of community support.
