This year’s conference will explore how tax departments can strategically contribute to the creation of resilient business models based on robust data insights into their own organization. In the light of globally emerging trade restrictions, new tax regimes, sanctions, industrial policy interventions and sustainability requirements, multinational companies have to adapt their business models. Tax departments can play a major role in this if they can generate relevant insights and data-driven suggestions.
At our conference, we will highlight recent key global tax policy developments with a focus on interdependencies between trade restrictions, customs, withholding taxes, digital services taxes, transfer pricing, indirect and direct tax, and how misalignment across these areas can create significant risk, inefficiencies, and controversy. Participants will learn how data-based insights are generated and used in other business areas and how such experience might be leveraged to generating tax-relevant insights. Break-out and Panel Discussions will focus on specific taxation questions, regulatory developments, ERP- and AI-based approaches as well as on the future state of real-time reporting of information to tax authorities. We will discuss how tax and customs functions must move beyond siloed compliance to adopt an integrated, end to end approach, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing global landscape. The conference will cover topics relevant for a broad range of industries addressing practical challenges in implementation, dispute prevention and resolution, and the role of tax in supporting broader business resilience and transformation goals.
