Dr. Kurt Mitzner

Dr. Kurt Mitzner leads the Financial Services Industry in Germany and also the insurance sector across all businesses in Germany.

He focuses on the insurance / reinsurance industry where he advises clients on business strategy, financial transformation, M&A and operational excellence. 

A banker and lawyer by education he has worked more than ten years for insurance companies (local and international). He has also spent almost ten years working in banks, six of them as an investment banker at a large global bank where he co-led the Financial Institutions team. Before joining Deloitte Dr. Kurt Mitzner was a partner at another Big Four firm for six years and held the position of insurance markets leader.

Kurt's professional experience covers a large number of strategic and transformational projects in the financial industry, comprising M&A, PMI, business transformation and restructuring.
