Jens Berger

Jens Berger is the partner responsible for all matters relating to corporate reporting (IFRS, HGB and sustainability reporting) and head of the IFRS and Corporate Reporting Centre of Excellence at Deloitte Germany, EU Corporate Reporting Policy Leader and a member of our Global IFRS Leadership Team. He has extensive experience in the implementation and application of international reporting standards from consulting projects and audits. Jens Berger is Vice Chair of the Financial Reporting Technical Expert Group (TEG) of EFRAG and a member of the DRSC's Technical Committee on Financial Reporting. He is also Chairman of the Financial Instruments Working Group and the Connectivity Advisory Panel of EFRAG, Chairman of the Working Group on Financial Instruments and a member of the Steering Committee on Sustainability at the IDW. He is also involved in Accountancy Europe, including the Corporate Reporting Policy Group, the Sustainability Policy Group and the Working Group on External Corporate Reporting (AKEU) of the Schmalenbach Society.

From 2009 to 2010, Jens Berger was a Practice Fellow at the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). He is also the global partner responsible for our corporate reporting website IAS Plus, has authored numerous articles and monographs, and is an experienced speaker at internal and external events.
