Masako brings more than 20 years of international tax experience gained at leading Japanese and U.S. multinational corporations in the manufacturing and digital services sectors. As Japan Tax Manager, she held overall responsibility for a broad range of tax matters, including tax reporting, tax risk management, tax planning, and tax audits, while leading tax transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Masako served as Tax Advisory Leader for the EMEA and Latin America regions at a U.S. multinational corporation, advising on complex cross-border tax matters and supporting business operations across multiple jurisdictions. She has led numerous cross-functional and cross-border initiatives in areas such as tax governance enhancement, tax management framework design, supply chain restructuring, and corporate reorganizations.
Masako is recognized for bringing a strategic, business-oriented perspective to tax, helping clients address complex challenges through practical and sustainable tax strategies that align management priorities with operational realities and support long-term enterprise value.
