Life at Deloitte in Southampton

OUR LOCATIONS

You will find the same breadth and depth of client experience and opportunities you would expect at all of our offices or working communities, but in a small, friendly, supportive virtual community of around 100 people.

Why join our Southampton Virtual Working Community?

Southampton is young, vibrant, energetic and diverse. It is a fantastic base if you love outdoor pursuits, from cycling in the nearby New Forest to sailing in the Solent. We have the Mayflower Theatre and several museums and art galleries in the new cultural quarter. There is St Mary’s Stadium too, home of Premier League side The Saints, and a major concert venue.

We also have an airport for fast, international getaways too and there’s a regular train service into London.

As we’re a virtual working community, you’ll often find us based at a client site, working from home, networking with colleagues at one of our four local collaboration spaces. These are dotted around the city at Cumberland Place, Southampton Airport, Whiteley, and Basepoint. So, depending on what you’re doing or who you’re collaborating with, you can choose what works best for you. We may not all be in the same place all of the time, but we still have a very full social calendar with all sorts of activities for you to get involved in. We work across many sectors, including manufacturing, consumer business, aerospace and defence are just a few. Many are local, others based further afield in the Thames Valley, London and abroad.

What do our people say?

"I am really pleased that I joined Southampton; whilst it keeps me close to my loved ones and in a friendly local community, it has also given me the chance to work on large clients and experience some international travel - particularly in the US where I have clients on the East and West Coast!"

"Deloitte Southampton is renowned for having a great sense of community within the office and connection with the local area. I have organised an annual charity Team Bake Off and donated 11 inches of hair for a cancer charity - raising over £1,000 in total. Everyone has a part to play in supporting our local community and it is great for team spirit"
