Each year the Deloitte Fast 50 programme recognises and celebrates the Kiwi businesses pushing the limits, breaking records, and redefining fast growth. Now in its 24th year, the programme comprises of two indices: the Fast 50 index, celebrating businesses that have experienced significant growth over a three-year period; and the Master of Growth index, for more mature businesses achieving sustained growth rates over a five-year period. Highlights from our national winners’ celebration

This year’s Fast 50 and Master of Growth contenders came together for a national celebration event held at Auckland’s Hyundai Marine Sports Centre. Throughout the afternoon, guests from across the private business community heard from an impressive line-up of speakers with insights into fast growth and operating through tough times and had the opportunity to network with other innovators who are changing the game.

Panel discussions included what to expect in an ownership transition, an update on the economic climate in a post-Trump world, and growth insights from some of this year’s Fast 50 businesses. In keeping with this year’s theme, Get set, grow: the future favours the fast, two of our incredible Kiwi Olympians, Eliza McCartney and Alicia Hoskin, appeared on a panel to share a bit about what life was like in Paris and some of the mental strategies they use to remain focused and overcome obstacles and injuries.
