About the awards

The Deloitte Top 200 Awards are held annually to recognise and celebrate outstanding individual and management team performances among New Zealand’s largest companies and trading organisations.

Now in its 36th year, the Deloitte Top 200 Awards are well established as the pre-eminent platform for showcasing the best of New Zealand business. The awards recognise the depth and range of our business community, featuring the industries and sectors that underpin New Zealand’s success.

A black-tie event, this year’s Deloitte Top 200 Awards night is on Thursday 4 December at Auckland’s Viaduct Events Centre where the achievements of finalists and winners across ten categories are celebrated.

Deloitte Top 200 award categories

The following categories showcase excellence across New Zealand’s diverse business landscape. All finalists and winners are nominated by an independent panel of judges, ensuring impartiality and integrity, with the exception of the Young Executive of the Year and Diversity & Inclusion Leadership awards, which accept direct nominations between May and July each year.

This award recognises the best organisational performance over the past year, based on financial and non-financial measures. Judges consider factors such as corporate reputation, environmental and human resource management, and other qualitative indicators that reflect overall excellence and impact beyond the bottom line.

This award recognises an outstanding change in business performance. The judges look at the relative improvement in all performance indicators over the previous year, the source of the improvement, and other ways the organisation has changed in the past year and the impact of these changes.

This award celebrates a Deloitte Top 200 organisation that has implemented a strategic diversity and inclusion programme with lasting impact. Judges seek evidence of leadership commitment, workforce engagement, and embedded practices that go beyond policy - creating genuine change, enhancing wellbeing, and driving long-term improvements in business performance and workplace culture.
