1.0 Overview CPE Credit | Specialized Knowledge

Between 1990 and 2020, an area larger than the 27 member states that comprise the European Union was lost to global deforestation. The EU regulation on deforestation-free supply chains aims to address this by requiring any company importing or exporting certain commodities from the EU to prove the products are deforestation-free. We’ll discuss:

  • Demystifying the broad landscape of deforestation and other nature-related standards, frameworks, and regulations
  • What the EU Deforestation Regulation may mean for US companies
  • Identifying EUDR requirements and timelines
  • Defining technology platforms for supply chain traceability
