Life at Deloitte in London

OUR LOCATIONS

We’re leading the way in Audit & Assurance, Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory, Tax & Legal, and Technology & Transformation services. You’ll be encouraged to innovate and work with all kinds of different people on diverse projects.

Why join the London office?

The UK’s capital city is every bit as exciting as it is vast. Home to some of the most famous cultural hotspots in the country, you’ll never tire of the wide range of bars, restaurants, museums, galleries and theatres. Whether you’re a culture vulture, a sports or music fan, you’ll find unique groups, activities and classes in every corner of this diverse city. We pride ourselves on being a multicultural hub, and we welcome people from all over the world.

Our flagship office supports agile working, sustainability, and employee wellbeing. Sensors monitor conditions to keep you comfortable and provide real-time data on available workspaces. There’s a gym, multi faith rooms, 365-bay cycle park (and bike repair shop), cafes, fine dining and a rooftop terrace, as well as an occupational and mental health suite. You can play with PS4s, table tennis and board games in break spaces, or completely switch off in our tech-free haven. While cutting-edge video-conferencing facilities mean you don’t have to travel, our fully equipped offices give you the option to work in a communal, collaborative space with its own private areas if you prefer. Whichever one of our London Campus buildings you’re based in, you can take advantage of all these amazing facilities. Plus, you have everything the capital has to offer, right on your doorstep.

Sustainability

At Deloitte we’re committed to making our spaces greener, and we’re proud to say that our London offices have won awards for sustainability. The largest of our buildings, 1NSS (New Street Square) scored a record 94% using BREEAM – the world’s leading environmental design assessment method. Key design features include connecting stairs that encourage more movement within the office, internal planting,  and bio-based products and materials. We use renewable energy and monitor our use, adhering to our Thermal Comfort Policy, where we try to keep the indoor temperature of our buildings between 19-23 degrees Celsius to avoid excess energy consumption. All our lighting in London is LED and our control systems are also designed to switch off across meeting rooms and office floors if it is unoccupied. Meanwhile The campus offers amenities such as cycle storage, changing rooms and showers, onsite gym to encourage sustainable commutes. Our canteen also offers a wide range of plant-based food and drinks, as well as initiatives to promote plant-based eating and encourage the reduction of single-use packaging materials. The food waste generated from our canteens and cafes currently averages between 1-3%, lower than the current UK target of <5% food waste.

What do our people say?

"Every day here, I can be myself. There’s a lot of respect for people at all levels and I feel empowered to speak my mind and offer my opinion. As I’m right in the middle of London, up on the 11th floor, I enjoy an unrivalled, unrestricted view of the city and its amazing landmarks every day too."

"We work in a very innovative space, with facilities like a meditation room, great coffee places and different spots to have a catch up. It’s all well designed and very comfortable to work in."

"I love London, I never get tired of it. I love the view from the top floor of our new building – 1 New Street Square. When the weather’s good I’m tempted to work up there, while viewing the entire London skyline."
