Driving change through collaboration
Back in 2016, we set an ambitious goal: to positively impact 5 Million Futures by 2030. Through the support of colleagues, the trust of our clients and the vital partnerships with charities, schools and social enterprises, we’ve not just met this target – we’ve surpassed it, five years early. This isn't just a target achieved; it's five million lives transformed through volunteering, pro bono, fundraising and strategic investment. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when we unite with a shared purpose, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing social impact journey.
Our ambitious social impact target, set in 2016, was to positively impact 5 Million Futures across our NSE Geographies by 2030. We were confident we could achieve that with our colleagues’ support, but what we didn’t expect was to meet our target five years ahead of schedule.
Just some of the ways our commitment helped build a more equal, inclusive society are:
- Charities benefitted from strategic advice that allowed them to increase their impact
- Headteachers implemented new strategies that transformed their schools’ approach to student wellbeing and academic success
- Disadvantaged job seekers unsure of their career path found confidence and direction through mentorship, ultimately securing their first job
- Pro bono support helped inclusion charities to drive a more equitable world
- Students from low-income communities gained entry to career paths they never thought attainable
- Charities accessed and strengthened their use of AI, enabling them to support more people
- Young people received the firm’s refurbished laptops, opening up a world of learning.
Because of our collaboration, we have five million stories of impact and we continue to make a difference. Our collective work has helped Deloitte's global WorldClass ambition reach 100 million futures worldwide, five years ahead of schedule.
Reaching this goal isn’t an end point; it's a springboard. While we’ve achieved this milestone, our work to address society’s most pressing challenges continues.
We are now collaborating with our global colleagues to shape an exciting new social impact strategy that creates pathways to progress. This is part of our worldwide commitment to invest more than US$3 billion over 10 years (FY23-FY32).
