Empowering future leaders
Deloitte, in continuity with previous years, confirmed its role as the Official Knowledge Partner of the NEXT Milano Forum for the 2026 edition.
NEXT is a flagship initiative promoted by ISPI (Institute for International Political Studies), with the support of Bocconi University and the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development).
The goal is to create a global network of young talents and future leaders, offering an exclusive platform to engage in dialogue with high-level institutional representatives, experts, and business leaders on internationally significant topics such as: Peace & Security, Sustainable and Fair Growth, Human Rights and People Empowerment, Energy/Green Transition/ Food Security, AI and Digitalization.
NEXT 2026 has welcomed over 1,000 young people from more than 60 countries and involved in selected activities 200 participants divided into four groups of 50 each: Young Talents, Business Leaders, Think Tanks, Civil Society, and Civil Servants. The Forum began with an introductory speech sent by Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, addressed to the participants of this edition. The participants had access to virtual sessions as well as the final in-person event, which was held in Milan from 4 to 6 May. The event included plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and speeches by prominent leaders from various sectors, addressing key topics on the global agenda.
Among the speakers there have been Nobel Peace Prize laureate Kailash Satyarthi, the most recent Nobel Prize in Economics laureate Philippe Aghion, World Bank President Ajay Banga, Deloitte Global Chair Anna Marks, Microsoft President of Global Affairs Lisa Monaco, CEO of Social Progress Imperative Michael Green and and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Luca Parmitano.
The majority of the sessions and workshops took place at Bocconi University and Palazzo Clerici, while one of the workshops (May 6) was hosted in Deloitte’s offices. The workshop was moderated by the Deloitte Global Chair, Anna Marks, and the Nobel Prize, Kailash Satyarthi, respectively on the relation among Leadership and AI and Compassionate Business.
During the Forum, some of the 200 participants proposed distinctive policy recommendations focused on Sustainability Transition. Through a collaboration with Think7 France, the most prominent proposals is going to be shared in the G7 context.
