Unlocking housing opportunities in a landmark location in Cork City

At the heart of Cork’s Horgan’s Quay development is a significant residential scheme for which Deloitte secured development financing, thereby supporting the delivery of much-needed homes in the region.

The Horgan’s Quay development is a major rejuvenation scheme for Cork City. The development comprises a six-acre mixed used development centred around the conservation of the site’s industrial heritage. The scheme, when completed, will include three Grade A contemporary offices, a state-of-the-art apartment scheme, a boutique hotel with rooftop dining, leisure facilities, shops and restaurants.

The 302-apartment scheme, for which Deloitte secured financing, will be completed in late 2026 and will include a ground floor retail space and a standalone retail unit.

Gavin Cullen a Managing Director on Deloitte’s Real Estate Finance Team outlines that “Deloitte is proud to have supported HQ Developments Limited – a joint venture between Clarendon properties and BAM Ireland – in securing development financing for the next phase of this significant mixed-use project in Cork. The Horgan’s Quay residential development will facilitate the provision of 302 new homes in collaboration with the Land Development Agency.
