Erich Hahn

Erich specializes in the federal income tax issues that arise from the use of partnerships in business transactions, including entity formations and dissolutions, inbound and outbound planning, operational restructuring, acquisition and disposition planning, structuring and diligence, as well as transactional compliance. Prior to joining Deloitte, Erich led the tax department of a large, privately held multinational company where he focused exclusively on acquisitions and dispositions of both domestic and global businesses. Erich also served as the director of tax for the company’s venture capital and financial services businesses.

Erich is a frequent lecturer on partnership tax matters at leading tax conferences across the country. He has served as the lead on several regulatory comment projects on behalf of the American Bar Association. Erich is also a frequent instructor and presenter at Deloitte internal conferences.

Erich earned a BS with distinction from University of Kansas and a JD with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center.
