Deepa is a principal in the Strategy & Operations practice of Deloitte Consulting. She has served clients nationally and globally, helping them redefine company evolution and go forward strategies. She is currently focused on helping Deloitte build their Government and Public Services footprint on the West Coast. She covers topics of cloud, cyber security, and technology advancement. Deepa also supports Deloitte’s Inclusion initiatives, which is dedicated to building opportunity, enrichment, and new thinking around talent in the workforce.
Prior to this role Deepa was focused on Deloitte’s Social Impact practice, where she helped corporate clients grow through a focus on doing good. Her clients were seeking to enhance their brand, satisfy changes in consumer and millennial buying habits, and manage regulatory challenges. Prior to joining the Social Impact practice group, Deepa spent more than 15 years focused in the Telecommunications, Media and Technology industry, where she helped her clients focus on growth by helping to manage complex transformations, integrations and launches across the globe. She is proud to have led an iconic Technology company through business transformation and divestiture planning.
Deepa has served on the US Deloitte Board Council and has served on the CEO’s Advisory Council. She is the recipient of Consulting Magazine’s 2011 Women Leaders in Consulting Future Leader Award.
As part of her commitment to community, Deepa is devoted to helping Indian girls realize their potential, and is helping to establish Avasara, the first leadership academy targeting young women in India.
Deepa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Philosophy from Wellesley College, a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a concentration in Negotiation Studies and Conflict Resolution from Harvard University.
