Derek has been with Deloitte Tax for more than 25 years and has more than 30 years of professional tax experience.
Derek is the Tax managing partner of Tennessee and the National Tax Leader for Deloitte’s Retail and Consumer Products Industry. Previously, Derek was the national leader of Deloitte’s Foreign Derived Intangible Income offering, Deputy Leader of the Deloitte Tax R&D and Governmental Incentives group, and led the Production Activity Solutions offering.
Derek has extensive management experience and has worked with a broad array of high-profile and Fortune 500 clients. Through this experience, Derek has developed comprehensive knowledge of the manufacturing, retail, and software industries. Derek supports multiple clients as LCSP and LTP, overseeing tax services delivered globally. Derek has extensive experience with public and private companies, specializing in the delivery of tax planning, compliance, and accounting services. Derek's expertise spans federal, state, and international taxation. Additionally, Derek has extensive experience teaming cross-functionally to deliver the breadth of Deloitte’s capabilities.
