Brian is a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP. He has more than 30 years of experience successfully helping chief experience officers from the largest global companies implement high-visibility, complex payments, fintech and banking strategies, mergers and acquisitions, operations, and technology initiatives. These include the credit card largest issuers, merchant acquirers, networks, payments processors, corporates, governments, and merchants.

Brian founded the industry’s globally top ranked Payments practice at Deloitte, since then overseeing its rapid growth. The practice has over 1,100 members in over 60 countries, covering traditional and emerging business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer payments (mobile, online, e-wallet, debit, credit, prepaid, automated clearing house, wire, check, Real-Time Payments, Zelle, SWIFT, person to person).

In 2001, he was recognized as an innovator of the year by Fortune for introducing approaches for B2B equity based payments. He continues to innovate and launch new fintech products.

Brian has been a contributor to business and banking journals, has published white papers addressing trends, threats, and opportunities in payments, and has been published and featured in Forbes, Fortune, CNN, American Banker, Dow Jones, CIO, Bloomberg, Global Finance, International Cards, BAI, the Nilson Report, and Wired Magazine to name a few.

Brian sits on, and has lead several advisory boards and task forces in the payments industry, including faster payments for the US Federal Reserve Banks. He has also served on charity boards such as Make a Wish and has been a judge for international card and payments competitions. He is a frequent speaker and moderator at annual payments industry events and advises the largest bank and payments consortiums and boards on a regular basis.
