Bina also serves as the individual Income Tax National Competency leader for the Deloitte Tax USA, consulting nationally on various individual income taxation matters, including Section 199A, AMT, passive activity planning, multi-state tax reporting, charitable planning, generational succession, divorce issues, California-specific trust taxation, and individual/trust business Section 461(I) and net operating losses. Her primary focus is on high-net-worth individuals, their closely held investment entities, and their respective family offices. In addition to her client roles, she leads the Private Aircraft consulting practice for Deloitte Tax USA and possesses specialized expertise in industries such as private equity fund structures and trust companies.
Bina's clientele includes large multi-generation families, entrepreneurs, executives, and complex trusts and estates. She serves as a Board member of Chapman University's philanthropic planning advisory committee. Bina is a licensed CPA in California and a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand & Australia. Prior to joining the Deloitte US Firms in 1999, she worked in the Auckland office of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in both the accounting and tax functions, and later transferred internationally to audit function.
