One of the important ways we make an impact in Jersey is by investing in our local young talent. There’s no university here, so it’s important that we have alternative and inspiring career opportunities for those leaving school who wish to stay local.
As part of this plan to retain talent, we have worked with one of Jersey’s schools to help them build a scheme that enables year 12 and 13 students to begin their accountancy qualification and learn invaluable professional and personal skills alongside their normal academic studies.
The students join us for work experience too, gaining firsthand experience of the business. This gives young people a brilliant head-start in launching their career in finance. In addition to supporting our local students’ development, it also helps support our local economy.
