Deloitte UK announces Darren Graves as senior partner and chief executive
Deloitte UK has announced Darren Graves as its next senior partner and chief executive, following a confirmatory vote by the firm’s partners.
He will succeed Richard Houston, the firm’s outgoing senior partner and chief executive, who will lead the newly formed Deloitte EMEA from 1 June 2026.
Darren joined Deloitte as a graduate in Business Tax in 2001 before moving into M&A Tax, where he became a Partner in 2012. He previously led the Transactions Tax team in the UK and was a member of the UK Tax & Legal Executive before becoming Managing Partner for Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) Tax & Legal as well as a member of the NSE Executive and Global Tax & Legal Executive in 2022.
Darren Graves commented:
"I am incredibly proud to become CEO of Deloitte UK at such a pivotal time.
"My focus will be twofold: to ensure we continue delivering exceptional value to our clients, by helping them navigate a period of complexity and seize new opportunities; and to reinvent our firm for the next generation.
“I am committed to ensuring Deloitte remains a place where everyone, regardless of background, can thrive and access the same opportunities for growth and development that have shaped my own career here.”
Richard Houston, outgoing senior partner and chief executive of Deloitte UK and NSE, said:
“I’m delighted that Darren will be our next UK CEO. His experience as a leader, both in the UK and across North and South Europe, gives me every confidence that the UK firm will continue to lead in the market.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing the impact of the UK firm in Deloitte EMEA in the years ahead.”
Alongside electing a new CEO, Deloitte will be appointing a new UK Chair and Board next month, effective 1 June.
