Deloitte UK announces new Chair and Board members

Deloitte has today announced Jane Whitlock as Chair of its UK Board, effective 1 June, following a confirmatory vote by the firm’s partners.

Jane is currently a partner in Audit & Assurance, based in the Midlands. She has served as audit partner on large and complex UK clients, primarily in the retail and energy sector, and was previously Midlands Practice Senior Partner, Head of Audit Midlands and Talent Lead for Audit Midlands.

Jane has held several governance roles since 2022, including as a member of the Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) Board, Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee, member of the UK Oversight Board, UK Audit Governance Board, UK Partnership Council and UK Partnership Committee.

Jane Whitlock said: “I am honoured to join the UK Board as Chair and look forward to working with Darren Graves as our newly appointed CEO, leading an effective and inclusive Board that balances challenge and support to the Executive.

Partners Pauline Biddle, Jane Boardman, James Byles, Matt Cheetham, Dean Cook, Shaun Curtis, Udit Gandhi, Karen McNicholls and Clare Mortimer have been elected as Board members. The Board will also comprise four non-voting Independent Non-Executives (INEs).

  • The Board of Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) has been the primary governance body for the whole of Deloitte NSE. Following the vote to become an EMEA firm, the UK is establishing a new Board from 1 June 2026.
