As part of a new collaboration with the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, Deloitte is contributing its multidisciplinary expertise towards the development of a series of thematic papers dedicated to topics of global relevance and aimed at fostering cross-sector dialogue on economic, social, and environmental issues.

1. Financial Debt and Ecological Debt

The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) and the Jesuit Justice and Ecology Network Africa (JENA), with the scientific contribution of Deloitte, released the expository paper "Bridging the North-South Divide: A Shared Responsibility for Economic and Ecological Justice” . The document highlights how the divide between the Global North and South is currently expressed through two closely connected dimensions: the growing burden of financial debt for developing countries and the ecological debt accumulated by industrialized economies.
