The Goal 13 Impact Platform is a partnership between Deloitte and business associations and organizations active in the environmental field in different geographical areas worldwide.
Launched in the UK, the project has been developed and implemented in Italy in partnership with Confindustria to amplify the climate progress of the national economic sector in view of COP26. Climate commitments and the main measures put in place by companies and financial operators in this regard are collected in interviews with business leaders with the aim to facilitate the sharing of best practices and to encourage collaboration with other organizations. The project also contributes to bringing together the Italian and international business community with policymakers on the issue of climate change in the context of major international fora such as the G20, B20 and COP26.
The Goal 13 Impact Platform was presented within the Pre-COP26 in Milan on October 1st 2021 during the “Business4Climate” event, a high-profile discussion forum organized by Deloitte, Confindustria, the B20 Italy and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
Following the conference, Deloitte published the report “Voices from the market“, exploring the key actions and best practices that businesses are putting forward to fight climate change, gathered through in-depth interviews with over 400 companies’ top executives (~50 in Italy).
