Carlo is the EMEA Leader of Deloitte Legal, as well as the Chairman and Senior Partner of Deloitte Legal Central Mediterranean (DCM). He was previously Managing Partner of Deloitte Legal DCM, which he joined in 2018.
A corporate lawyer specialising in M&A and equity capital markets, he practised at leading national and international firms for over 13 years, advising on major corporate transactions until 2012. That year he left the profession to join Banca Popolare di Milano (now Banco BPM) as General Counsel. He was also Chairman of WeBank S.p.A. and a member of the Boards of Directors of Banca Akros S.p.A. and Banca Popolare di Mantova S.p.A.
He played a key role in the restructuring and relaunch of the banking group, overseeing corporate governance, capital-strengthening operations, relations with the regulatory authorities and the European Central Bank, and asset quality review activities.
At the end of 2014 he was appointed Partner and General Counsel at Investindustrial, where he oversaw the fund's operations and sat on the boards of its portfolio companies until he joined Deloitte in 2018.
