Tanya Sexton takes a new role in Deloitte Ireland, filling a key leadership role within Deloitte’s Strategy and Transactions Advisory team. She has been appointed to lead the firm’s debt advisory, value creation and performance improvement services.
Tanya brings over 23 years of experience from Dublin, London and New York, advising corporates and private equity sponsors on capital structuring and investment strategy. Prior to rejoining Deloitte, she held senior leadership roles in corporate banking at HSBC and Santander.
In her new role, Tanya will combine cross-border deal experience with a deep understanding of the Irish market, working with both private equity firms and Irish medium and large public and private companies to help them unlock value and identify growth opportunities.
The level of interest in Ireland from private equity and international capital has reached a real inflection point,
explains Tanya.
That level of interest — and curiosity — around this market is very exciting. I’m looking forward to bringing a cross-border lens, a challenger mindset, and practical experience to help clients navigate this complex topic and seize that opportunity.
Anya Cummins, Head of Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory says Tanya’s focus will be on the needs of larger corporates and private equity sponsors active in or entering the Irish market.
Tanya knows exactly what private equity and large corporates need, and she brings a client-first approach that’s grounded, sharp, and forward-looking. Tanya has a rare blend of experience – she's advised some of the most sophisticated investors in the UK and US, while she also has a deep understanding of the dynamics of the Irish market. She’s exactly the right leader to drive our transactions agenda at such an exciting time and her leadership will be instrumental as we grow our private equity platform.
Harry Goddard, CEO of Deloitte Ireland says the firm is delighted to have Tanya leading this agenda at such a pivotal time.
Tanya’s appointment reflects the growing demand we’re seeing from private equity and corporates for sharp, commercially grounded advice that delivers real results. Her appointment is a significant step as Deloitte continues to invest in the areas are clients are most focused on, value creation and private equity opportunity. Tanya brings not just technical expertise and commercial insight, but also strong, long-standing relationships. This puts her in a unique position to support clients looking to unlock growth and build long-term value.
