Deloitte Ireland Expands its Real Estate Advisory Offering – Dessie Kilkenny appointed MD of Real Estate M&A

15 September 2025: Deloitte Ireland is delighted to announce the appointment of Dessie Kilkenny as Managing Director, with responsibility for Real Estate Mergers and Acquisitions. This newly created position reflects Deloitte’s commitment to strengthening its business advising clients on all aspects of Real Estate transactions.

Dessie joins Deloitte from CBRE, where he held a leadership role in their capital markets division. Over the last 20 years, he has advised clients on many of Ireland’s largest real estate transactions, the most recent of which was the sale of the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.

Commenting on the appointment, Daniel Lockley, Deloitte Ireland Partner and Real Estate Industry Leader, said:

We believe that now is the right time for us to further develop our real estate offering in Ireland, Dessie’s appointment is an important part of that. This investment has been put in place to help our clients to plan, develop, finance and sell real estate assets in the Irish and international markets. We are also the first professional services firm to have secured a Property Licence from the Property Services Regulatory Authority.

Anya Cummins, Deloitte Ireland Partner and Strategy Risk and Transactions Advisory Leader, said:

We are extremely pleased to welcome Dessie onto the Real Estate team in Deloitte Ireland, as we continue to invest in and scale our wider Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory business. Dessie has an impressive blend of Irish and international experience, which will be very additive to our existing team as we roll out the full suite of real estate advisory services to our clients.

Speaking on his appointment, Dessie Kilkenny, Managing Director, Deloitte Real Estate said:

Ireland is in a unique position as we are likely to see continued population growth over the next 15 years. As a result of this, Irish real estate will need to develop and evolve. I look forward to helping all those active in the Irish real estate investment to navigate this change. Our newly formed Real Estate M&A division will now allow Deloitte to deliver to its clients a truly end-to-end real estate service. I am excited to work with Daniel and the wider team in rolling out this new service offering over the coming months.
