Following a merger, Sunrise modernised and migrated to a combined cloud-based SAP S4HANA landscape. Deloitte helped Sunrise integrate and migrate six legacy systems onto the new platform, standardising finance, supply chain, commercial, and procurement methods across the combined entities. The streamlined IT landscape is now ready for future data and digital initiatives.
The merge of Sunrise and UPC created a need to rapidly combine and modernise the two diverse ERP landscapes.
At the end of 2020, Liberty Global acquired Sunrise and combined it with their existing OpCo UPC. Sunrise engaged Deloitte in a merge, modernisation and migration project to a combined SAP S4HANA landscape hosted on Google Cloud. Deloitte integrated and migrated six legacy systems onto the new platform during the Nova project. Finance, supply chain, commercial, and procurement methods are now standardised across the combined entities; and the IT landscape has been streamlined and is ready for future data and digital initiatives. The platform has already been used to prepare for the Spin Off and SIX listing of Sunrise in November 2024.
"Since the migration, all business units have increased visibility of harmonised financial flows to support their decision making. This has helped us prepare for the Sunrise spin off and relisting on the Swiss Stock Market.
The Go to market with aligned legacy UPC and Sunrise SCM processes has also been a key element to support our ongoing inter brand migration as we move our UPC customers to the Sunrise main brand to allow them to fully benefit from our latest portfolio.
At Sunrise we say dream big, do big. Nova certainly lived up to our brand promise"
