Campus recruitment steps to success

Understanding the candidate journey

Revisit this page regularly to view our programming calendar (coming soon), for the opportunity to meet our people, and gain an understanding of what your future at Deloitte could hold. This is your opportunity to make a lasting connection.

Our open opportunities are posted on our careers page under the student/new graduate opportunities category.

Before applying, we recommend you visit your campus career centre for support on reviewing your cover letter and resume. To further assist with your resume, here are a few tips from our Campus Recruitment team:

  • Do your research. Thoroughly read job postings, skills, and key words.
  • List relevant past experiences. Indicate any leadership roles you held while at school. Are you a part of a student club? Yes? Jot this down.
  • Include volunteer/community activities. Are you involved in any extra curricular activities? Jot this down.
  • Consolidate. Limit your resume to no more than two pages (one page is even better)!

Important considerations:

  • Submit your cover letter, resume and unofficial transcript in ONE PDF combined file.
  • You can only have one application package associated with your candidate profile. This means, if you apply to multiple roles, you can only upload one file.
  • Be sure to make note of your school's recruitment policies; some schools may require you to submit an application via your career center in addition to our website.

Once your application has been submitted, your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted if you are selected for an interview. If you are not contacted for an interview, please don’t be discouraged. We encourage you to continue monitoring our open positions, and apply for other roles that may interest you in the future.

If selected for a first-round interview, you will receive an invitation to submit your digital, on-demand video interview via HireVue. Below are some tips to consider throughout this process:

  • Test your technology
  • Take advantage of the practice questions
  • Pick a location with a neutral background
  • Eliminate any distractions or noises
  • Do a few practice rounds on your own before the interview

If you advance through the process, second-round interviews may take place virtually, on campus or in a Deloitte office. The interview format will vary depending on the position for which you are being considered. This may include a combination of behavioural and/or case interviews. Some roles may also require you to complete an online assessment.

Congratulations! You got the job. You will receive a verbal offer followed by a written contract. We encourage you to closely review your offer and ask questions throughout the process. Prior to your start date you will receive access to Deloitte equipment, resources, and onboarding information to prepare you for your first day.
