Transforming from SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 to 2.0
SAP SuccessFactors has announced the depreciation of Onboarding 1.0 in 2026 and that the future of the solution is Onboarding 2.0. Clients are encouraged to begin defining the next chapter of their onboarding solution by the end of 2025. Deloitte has developed a leading approach to ensure clients have the tools they need to be supported and empowered during this transformation.
In 2023, SAP SuccessFactors announced that Onboarding 1.0 will be decommissioned and clients will have to migrate to a new solution, Onboarding 2.0. Onboarding 1.0 will enter its end of maintenance phase by the end of 2025. The depreciation of Onboarding 1.0 will be complete in the first half of 2026.
What Deloitte can support
Current SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 clients will be required to
migrate from the solution. There are different options and approaches clients
can take for the transition to Onboarding 2.0. Deloitte can provide support to

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding (ONB) is a cloud-based solution that enables the efficient management of a variety of programs and employee transitions, including Pre Day-One, Onboarding, Crossboarding, Offboarding, and Rehire, through a single solution. Powered by the SAP SuccessFactors platform, Employee Central (EC) data model and embedded intelligence, this solution delivers personalized and comprehensive experiences to help ensure timely compliance, increase engagement, and improve productivity.

Prior to his role as Ecosystems & Alliances Officer, Tim was the Strategy and Innovation Officer for Deloitte Canada from 2019 to 2024 and the Managing Partner of Deloitte’s Consulting business from 2014 to 2019. Tim is an active supporter of various community organizations, including Indspire, Young Presidents’ Organization, Junior Achievement Canada, and Canada Snowboard.
Specializing in large-scale transformation programs, Jason leads the SAP offering in Canada out of our Calgary office and brings over 25 years of finance, technology, and strategy experience in both industry and consulting roles across the energy and resources, consumer products, and government sectors. To deliver valuable SAP-enabled outcomes, Jason works closely with clients and leverages his strong skills in strategic planning; business case development; program governance, management, and delivery; process automation and improvement; enterprise information management; and shared services design.
Zach is a solution manager in the SAP SuccessFactors team within the Canadian Delivery Center. His expertise stems from over five years of implementing Onboarding 1.0 and Onboarding 2.0. Zach has worked hands-on with both solutions and led numerous successful global Onboarding implementations for clients in various industries. He is certified in RCM, RMK, ONB 1.0, and ONB 2.0.
Camélia is a solution manager in the SAP SuccessFactors team within the Canadian Delivery Center. Her area of focus is talent acquisition as she holds many years of experience working with clients to transform their HR during recruiting and onboarding implementations. Camélia has worked in HRT since 2018, furthering the relationship between human capital needs and technological solutions.
Benjamin is a senior manager who specializes in SAP SuccessFactors, particularly talent acquisition and analytics. He has been working with enterprise organizations varying in size, complexity, industry, and global landscape for the last eight years.
