Indigenous Reconciliation

Our shared vision

Reconciliation shapes our shared future. It requires all of us to listen, learn, and act with purpose. Over the past six years, we have strengthened our commitment to better work alongside First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities. Together, we are expanding our horizons to help create a more equitable country.

Going further with Gold

We are honoured to be the first professional services firm in Canada to achieve Gold-level certification from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB)’s Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program.

This milestone reflects years of steady action and progress across our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) journey. Over the past year, we have continued advancing our commitments through expanded Indigenous-led learning, new onboarding and leadership development opportunities for Indigenous professionals, strengthened procurement practices that support Indigenous businesses, and Nation Building collaborations that support Indigenous sovereignty and economic empowerment. We also continued to create meaningful opportunities for Indigenous youth across Canada through community-led collaborations. These are just a few examples of the progress highlighted in our Expanding Horizons: Year-six Reconciliation Action Plan update report. Explore the report to learn more about the impact of this work.

Advancing reconciliation together

Six years after launching our first RAP, we're proud to see how the conversation has evolved within our organization and beyond. While our renewed RAP commitments strengthen our own path forward, we also recognize that true reconciliation means working together, learning from one another, and building on the strides we make.

Discover how organizations across Canada’s business landscape are turning reconciliation commitments into action to better collaborate with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.

Our renewed reconciliation commitments

At Deloitte, we continue to advance reconciliation by creating impact within the four pillars of inclusion, education, employment, and economic empowerment. Our renewed Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) reinforces our commitments, reflecting our vision of a more inclusive future for what is now known as Canada.

The artists

Every culture, every voice, every perspective advances our reconciliation journey. That's why we ensured our renewed RAP artwork reflects this shared commitment. Infusing elements from our foundational artwork, our latest artwork celebrates and honours the diversity of Indigenous Peoples across Canada while acknowledging the interconnectedness of their past, present, and future.

Our continued path forward

Our first RAP in 2020 set out to make an impact that matters by collaborating with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities to foster meaningful and sustainable change. Recognizing our responsibility as business leaders and the need for greater accountability, in 2024, we raised the bar with 15 new commitments to embed Indigenous perspectives in our work and beyond.
