Our team sits within the Strategy, Risk & Transactions division of Deloitte Australia. We consist of over 100 actuarial and investment consultants based in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
At Deloitte Actuaries & Investment Specialists, we offer a comprehensive suite of actuarial and investment services across various sectors, including insurance, banking, superannuation and wealth management. We serve both commercial and public sector clients.
Actuaries play an important role for society in analysing financial risks across the economy. We take pride in delivering actuarial services to our clients to assist them in making a positive impact to their customers, policyholders and members from the provision of their products and services.
Our Insurance Advisory team offers a range of actuarial services to both life and general insurers, as well as public sector insurance schemes. Our services include traditional actuarial support on claims reserving, product pricing, financial and operational risk modelling, capital optimisation and Appointed Actuary and external auditor roles, as well as advisory services on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, market analysis and new ventures and alliances.
Our Banking Advisory team applies actuarial expertise to advise retail and institutional banks, as well as government lending bodies. Our services include quantitative risk analytics such as credit risk, market risk, liquidity, and treasury support, as well as retail banking product, pricing and customer analytics. We have specialised skills in retail mortgage lending and distribution, including mortgage broker models, as well as innovative lending products such as shared equity and equity release products.
Superannuation & Investment Advisory
Our Superannuation and Investment Advisory team provides strategic and quantitative advisory services to superannuation and investment fund managers. We bring a blended team of industry experienced actuaries together with dedicated investment management specialists. Our services encompass fund mergers, operating model design, regulatory responses, fee and cost benchmarking, investment consulting, defined benefit calculations, retirement income design, group insurance and member analytical services.
Superannuation & Investment Technology
Our Superannuation and Investment Technology team assists fund managers in selecting and deploying technology platforms, such as Blackrock Aladdin and State Street Alpha. As part of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, our team leverages Deloitte’s global capabilities to provide Asia Pacific implementation to global clients. Our services extend to developing and hosting local calculators for superannuation member tools.
