Deloitte Expands AI and Agentic AI Capabilities With M&A Platform Enabling Smarter, More Streamlined Deal Execution

Deloitte’s M&A Platform brings human-led, AI-powered execution to every stage of the deal lifecycle, helping teams unlock added value and deliver deeper insights for clients from strategy through integration

NEW YORK, Sept 22, 2026 — Deloitte today unveiled its M&A Platform, an AI-enabled M&A solution designed to help organizations make smarter, cross-capability informed deal decisions and uncover new opportunities throughout the M&A journey.

In use across more than 1,000 client engagements, Deloitte’s M&A Platform is a purpose-built solution that embeds AI across the entire deal lifecycle, enabling deeper due diligence, stronger transaction structuring, and end-to-end integration. Supported by an agentic harness that helps scale, govern, and manage AI agents, the platform gives clients a clearer, more coordinated way to manage deals with tax, technology, and financial complexities.

"Agentic AI is enhancing how we deliver M&A services — running structured, interconnected workflows across the entire deal lifecycle, from strategy and diligence through integration, rather than just addressing isolated M&A tasks. This platform will be a launchpad for a fundamental shift in how deals get done,” said Erik Dilger, managing director, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP, M&A Platform lead and US Mergers & Acquisition Services GenAI lead.

To help guide organizations in maximizing their AI investments, Deloitte recently released findings from its first "GenAI in M&A Pulse Survey", which provides fresh insights from 500 corporate and private equity (PE) leaders. The survey explores opportunities to scale AI use across the deal lifecycle, drive greater value creation, and overcome barriers to business adoption.

Findings show that AI in M&A has rapidly moved from pilot to execution, with 90% of respondents reporting they use AI. This momentum is accelerating, with more than one-third (37%) of dealmakers using AI across multiple stages of the M&A lifecycle.

Further, the survey revealed that more than one-third (35%) of M&A leaders said they see the greatest value when technology is combined with advisory support — more than three times the percentage that cited the value created by individual task-specific tools.

When asked about benefits realized from AI, dealmakers surveyed indicate they are already seeing tangible productivity gains in areas like automated status reporting (66%), enhanced decision-making (60%), and streamlined cross-functional coordination (51%).

“Deloitte’s M&A Platform brings human judgment and AI together to enable deal teams to achieve something previously out of reach — deeper, richer insights that not only enhance decision-making but also shape M&A strategy and competitive advantage. With demonstrated capabilities already in market, we are helping clients activate AI to move with greater confidence, make smarter decisions, and achieve stronger outcomes,” said Adam Reilly, national managing partner, Merger & Acquisition Services, Deloitte.

Purpose-built for the sensitive nature of M&A, Deloitte’s M&A Platform is designed to protect and ringfence client and transaction data. Developed by M&A professionals who understand the nuances of target, transaction and diligence data, the platform combines AI capabilities with an environment designed to support the security and confidentiality complex deals demand.

Deloitte’s M&A Platform is available now through AscendTM, Deloitte's service delivery platform, offering flexible engagement options for clients to benefit from secure, M&A-specific AI solutions across the deal lifecycle. For more information, visit our webpage.
