This statement covers your application and participation in the Explore Work virtual work experience programme.

This programme is managed by Deloitte LLP with registered office 1 New Street Square, London, EC4A 3HQ, using a technical solution provided by Telecoms User Interface Consulting Limited.

Deloitte is committed to protecting your information by handling it responsibly and safeguarding it using appropriate technical, administrative and physical security measures.

Information about you which we process

We will collect or obtain information about you that you provide to us, that we obtain from third parties or that is publicly available, or which we infer from the way you interact with us.

This information about you will include:

• your name;
• contact details;
• details about your education; and
• if provided, your diversity information.

Special category data

The use of personal data will be for the Explore Work virtual work experience process and the Explore Work virtual work experience related activities. We will use the personal data that we collect or obtain about you in order to:

• manage our relationship with you;
• to share with a third-party supplier to enable your participation in the virtual work experience programme;
•  Where you have shared your diversity data with us, we may use it in aggregate format to improve our procedures including through analysis of any outcomes. Note that you will not be identified in any such analysis.

Lawful basis

Where we process your personal data in connection with one or more of the purposes outlined in the “How we use your information about you” section, we rely on the following lawful basis:

• The processing is necessary for the purposes of a legitimate interest pursued by us: we want to attract and onboard talent into Deloitte.

Where we are processing your special category data for these purposes, we do so under the following condition:

• Substantial public interest, because we want to ensure equality of opportunity of treatment of groups of people.

Retention period

We retain personal data as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of the purposes identified above or as otherwise necessary to comply with applicable laws. Where personal data is no longer necessary or relevant for our identified purposes or where you have indicated that you no longer are interested in staying in contact with us, we will securely dispose of your personal data.
