Governance: About us

Every day, our purpose is to make an impact that matters for our people, Deloitte clients and our communities.

As a firm that advises and audits organisations across industries and sectors around the world, ours is a business built on trust.

Our clients and stakeholders expect us to run a responsible and sustainable business, behave ethically, and successfully manage risks.

Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) brings together more than 75,000 colleagues across 30 countries in Europe and the Middle East.

Every day, we act on and make decisions based on our shared values.

Our NSE Board

The NSE Board is the firm’s primary governance body, responsible for ensuring high quality governance and stewardship of NSE.

The role of the Board is to support and challenge our leadership on strategy and purpose; set the tone for ethical and responsible decision-making; and ensure transparency and accountability to external stakeholders and to our partners and people.

Liesbeth Mol

I am focused on ensuring that NSE remains a purpose-led firm with a strong sense of partnership.

Liesbeth Mol, NSE Chair

Liesbeth Mol has chaired the NSE Board since summer 2023. She began her career at Deloitte in 1996 as a tax advisor, and in 2005 became the youngest female partner in Deloitte Netherlands. Prior to becoming NSE Chair, Liesbeth was a member of the Deloitte Executive Board in the Netherlands, and has also been NSE Ethics Leader and Chair of the NSE Public Interest Consistency Group.

Reflecting on her career history and current role, Liesbeth Mol says, “The NSE Board has a crucial role in providing good governance and stewardship across NSE, and as Chair of the Board I am focused on ensuring that NSE remains a purpose-led firm with a strong sense of partnership.

“Throughout my career at Deloitte, supporting our partners, people, and clients in their commitment to long-term responsible goals has been crucial to me, as has senior leadership development which is vital to the stewardship of our firm.

“I believe that together with our clients and stakeholders, Deloitte can influence and help solve society’s most complex challenges. And importantly in a sustainable and responsible way.”

Reporting and responsibility

Our business is built on trust. Our stakeholders expect us to run a sustainable and responsible operation and manage risk.

We measure and report on our progress to hold ourselves accountable and enable stakeholders to evaluate our impact. Deloitte published our organisation’s first global Human Rights statement in 2023.

We are deliberate about the company we keep and we are committed to responsible business practices.
