Governance: About us

At Deloitte, our purpose drives us every day: to make an impact that matters for our people, our clients and the communities we serve.

As a firm that advises organisations and conducts audits across diverse industries globally, trust is the foundation of our business. Our clients and stakeholders expect us to operate responsibly, sustainably and ethically, while effectively managing risks.

Deloitte North and South Europe (NSE) brings together more than 75,000 colleagues across 30 countries in Europe and the Middle East.

Our Shared Values are the constant guide for all of our actions and decisions.

Our NSE Board

The NSE Board is the firm’s primary governance body, responsible for ensuring high quality governance and stewardship of NSE.

The role of the Board is to support and challenge our leadership on strategy and purpose; set the tone for ethical and responsible decision-making; and ensure transparency and accountability to external stakeholders and to our partners and people.

Liesbeth Mol has chaired the NSE Board since summer 2023. She began her career at Deloitte in 1996 as a tax advisor, and in 2005 became the youngest female partner at Deloitte Netherlands. Prior to becoming NSE Chair, Liesbeth was a member of the Deloitte Executive Board in the Netherlands and has also been NSE Ethics Leader and Chair of the NSE Public Interest Consistency Group.

Reflecting on the past year, Liesbeth Mol says, “In an ever-changing world, the role of the NSE Board in providing robust governance and stewardship has never been more important.

“We are here to ensure that Deloitte North and South Europe remains steadfast in its purpose, while fostering a culture of ethical decision-making and accountability from the top.

“The Board is committed to leaving Deloitte in an even better place for future generations. We both challenge and support the Executive on our short- and long-term strategic choices, carefully balancing change and opportunities with an acceptable level of risk. While doing this we remain focused on preserving our strong sense of partnership and safeguarding our brand.

“Given the economic uncertainly, and geopolitical tensions in parts of the world, it is crucial that we make an impact that matters for our clients and communities.”

“In an ever-evolving world, the NSE Board's role in providing robust governance and stewardship has never been more important.”
