Tom Walsh leads Deloitte’s advisory practice for the Cruise industry from the UK. He has advised businesses in the Travel, Hospitality & Services sector for two decades and he specialises in tax and legal advisory across the UK, EMEA and the Americas.
His key areas of expertise include commercial advisory, international supply chain management, ERP implementations and corporate transactions. Tom’s clients include cruise operators, multi-national tour operators, online platforms, airlines, loyalty scheme providers, travel agents and hotel groups.
During his career with Deloitte, Tom spent 12 months on secondment to one of Europe’s largest listed travel businesses in a senior management role, during which he successfully built and led an in-house tax function. Tom is recognised internationally as a pre-eminent tax expert in the industry and has advised a number of global trade bodies, authored thought leadership articles and provided evidence before a UK Parliamentary Select Committee on the future of taxation in the travel industry.
