Shara is a Partner in Deloitte’s UK VAT Compliance and Technology team.
He has over 13 years’ experience of indirect tax technology including ERP implementations, end to end indirect tax reviews and wider finance transformation projects from an indirect tax perspective.
He now leads the UK firm's third party indirect tax Determination and Compliance Automation teams, managing indirect tax technology relationships with all major software providers within the market.
Shara currently manages multi-national client portfolios across various industries including banking, software development, online sales and marketing, logistics and electronics and entertainment to name a few.
He is working with our largest global clients to assist with process and technology improvement of indirect tax compliance in the context of both, overall end to end operational efficiencies and responding to global digital tax agendas.
