Matt Batham is the UK Managing Partner for People and Purpose at Deloitte, having taken up the role in October 2026.
Matt joined the firm over 30 years ago and has spent 19 years as an International Tax Partner, advising international clients, including two years spent working in Deloitte’s New York office. He is a specialist in the Hotel and Hospitality Industry advising global corporates in this space as well as extensively on transactions for corporates and private equity.
Matt is passionate about people, diversity and inclusion and has held several leadership roles, including global P&P leader for Tax & Legal and has led the Business Tax practice within our Tax & Legal business. He was also the founding sponsoring partner for our Proud at Deloitte network.
As Managing Partner for People and Purpose, Matt is responsible for shaping and delivering Deloitte’s UK people strategy, ensuring the firm attracts, develops and retains exceptional talent. He also leads the people and purpose agenda, with a focus on culture, inclusion, wellbeing and skills, helping Deloitte’s people thrive while supporting the firm’s long-term ambitions.
