Jim has been an INE member of the UKOB since January 2019, serving as Deputy Chair, and joined the AGB in 2021.
Jim is currently Chair of HSBC Global Services Limited and Risk Committee Chair of HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited.
Prior to that he was Chair of the Risk Committee of HSBC Bank plc, Chair of the Audit Committee of HSBC UK Bank plc, and Audit and Risk Chair of M&S Bank plc. He is also Senior Independent Director (SID) and Audit and Risk Committee Chair and Nomination Committee Chair of the Benefact Group, which includes Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc. He was previously SID and Audit and Risk Committee Chair at Pollen Street Capital, Chair of World First, and Audit and Risk Chair of Scottish Water.
Jim spent 25 years in financial services as an executive, retiring as Deputy CFO at Lloyds Banking Group in 2015, with the prior ten years spent in senior positions at BP. He qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG after completing a degree in Law and Accountancy at Glasgow University.
