Hazel is a Partner in our Gi³ practice based in Aberdeen. She joined Deloitte in July 2008.
Her previous experience within business tax has given her a broad insight into businesses which have a focus on innovation, liaising closely with them to understand their commercial and tax issues in order to deliver tax efficient ideas and solutions.
Since transferring to the Innovation team, Hazel has worked with numerous R&D and Patent Box claimant companies, of varying scale and size, across a broad range of sectors. She now leads the Aberdeen Innovation team and has responsibility for the wider Scottish team. Hazel’s role is typically to devise and review the claim methodology to ensure an optimal result, manage multiple work streams, as well as focus on client service and delivery.
Hazel has a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Heriot Watt University.
