Alex specialises in providing expert advice to financial services firms on recovery and resolution issues and broader aspects of PRA’s supervisory approach such as capital, liquidity, risk management and governance.

Alex specialises in providing expert advice to financial services firms on recovery and resolution issues and broader aspects of PRA’s supervisory approach such as capital, liquidity, risk management and governance.

Alex spent 13 years at the FSA/PRA and was a founding member of the PRA’s recovery and resolution team and subsequently went on to lead the team for a number of years. During this time, he helped create the first CP on recovery and resolution planning and worked with firms on a pilot assessment of initial plans. He also oversaw initial development of the OCIR discussion paper and helped provide PRA input into a number of the key resolution planning developments.

After leaving PRA, Alex has spent the last 7 years working in consultancy, focussed on helping firms implement the regulators requirements particularly in relation to recovery and resolution planning.
