Almira joined the UKOB as an INE in March 2020 and became an ANE on the AGB in January 2021.
Since July 2025, she has chaired the Non-Executive Committee, focusing on public interest matters.
A senior member of the Bar in Scotland, she specialises in company and insolvency law. Almira is a member of JUSTICE Council, a member of the Edinburgh Law School Advancement Advisory Board, a member, trustee and director of the Scottish Council of Law Reporting, Honorary Consul of Bosnia-Herzegovina in Scotland and is a member of the Conference on European Restructuring and Insolvency Law. She holds a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School
