Alan Chaudhuri is the UK Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Prior to his UK CRO role, Alan was the UK Head of Quality & Risk for Audit & Assurance.
Alan is a partner with over 30 years of experience, specialising in Banking & Capital Markets, working with many of Deloitte’s largest and most complex clients. In addition to leading significant audit engagements, he has extensive assurance and advisory experience leading numerous reviews of risk control functions and working with organisations through change events. This has included conducting investigations into the root causes of trading incidents and operational losses at financial institutions, advising banks on their recovery and resolution programmes and advising on the operational separation of investment and retail banking operations.
Alan has held numerous leadership positions, including LCSP for several large multinational clients. He has also been a standing participant of the UK Audit Governance Board, and Chair of Deloitte’s UK Audit Quality Board, and has served as national risk partner on many of the firm’s higher-risk engagements.
