Bio: Arfan Azmir is a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, supporting Deloitte across EMEA as part of AWS's global Deloitte team. He brings more than 25 years of experience in infrastructure and cyber security. Before AWS, he was Head of Cyber Security Architecture for UK & Ireland at Atos. Since joining AWS almost four years ago as a Security Specialist Solutions Architect, Arfan has helped Deloitte and its enterprise clients design secure, compliant cloud and AI architectures. He specialises in cyber security, compliance and digital sovereignty.

Prior to founding Checkstep, Guillaume founded and was CEO of Bloomsbury AI, which exited to Facebook (now Meta). He then became manager of Facebook London AI Integrity. He was also previously a senior researcher at UCL and Xerox. He also has a PhD in Mathematics

Speaker name: Giulia De Bernardi

Job title: Assistant Manager

Bio: Her focus is on digital regulation, with a particular emphasis on online safety, within the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sector. Prior to joining Deloitte, Giulia’s experience spans strategic partnerships, economic diplomacy and project management, including roles at the Economics & Trade Section of the European Union Delegation to Singapore and partnerships experience in fast-growing startups in Spain and the UK.
Giulia holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Management from ESCP Business School, with double specialisation in finance and entrepreneurship. In 2025, Giulia earned the CFA certificate in ESG Investing.

Job title: Solutions Consultant

Bio: Yash is a Solutions Consultant at Appian, partnering with some of Appian’s largest UK enterprise customers to solve complex operational and regulatory challenges through process orchestration, automation, and governance by guiding enterprise stakeholders through early discovery and technical validation. A background of hands-on experience in Appian Customer Success allows him to bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and real-world execution - helping organisations eliminate operational bottlenecks, streamline compliance, and lower costs without sacrificing agility.

Job title: Chief Corporate Affairs Officer

Bio: Luc Delany is Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and VP EMEA at k-ID. He was one of k-ID's earliest hires, joining after selling his advisory firm, Delany & Co. He has led the company's growth across EMEA and oversees its policy, communications and reputation. He has more than 20 years' experience in technology and online safety policy, including as Google's first EU public policy hire and on Facebook's EMEA policy team.

A background in Data and technology Governance, combining legal with over 20 years' experience in digital. Bio: His focus is on regulatory initiatives related to Digital Markets. Prior to joining Deloitte, Nick spent a number of years at Ofcom, the UK Communications Regulator. Within Ofcom’s Strategy and Policy Team, Nick worked on a range of strategic priority projects covering digital competition, online safety, telecoms, media and more. Nick also led Ofcom's input into the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DRCF)’s Horizon Scanning workstream. Prior to Ofcom, Nick gained experience across a range of sectors as a management consultant.

Kathy joined Deloitte in 2018 after 20 years with IBM Global Business Services. With extensive experience across both client-facing and internal roles, she is passionate about helping organisations deliver transformation at all scales. Whether leading complex enterprise programmes or targeted initiatives, Kathy focuses on creating practical, logical solutions that simplify processes, empower teams and deliver lasting value.

Bio: Inbal Goldberger is a Trust & Safety executive specializing in digital regulation and online safety. She is the CEO of Codeliance, a startup building compliance technology for platforms navigating online safety regulation. She also leads a national programme in Ireland under the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA) to combat online antisemitism. Her career began as a military intelligence officer, followed by a role at Google Trust & Safety, where she led global teams across intelligence, policy enforcement, and incident management on Google Search.

Inbal serves on advisory boards including the Institute of Technology and Human Rights (WJC), the Institute for Security and Technology (IST), and Children's Online Redress (COR) Sandbox. She co-founded the Trust & Safety Academy in partnership with New York University, focused on professional education within the field. Her academic background includes a BA in Linguistics and an MBA from Tel Aviv University. She speaks regularly at international conferences on hate speech, antisemitism, and the intersection of AI and online harms.

Drawing on firsthand experience leading Google's early GDPR compliance work, Codeliance built a platform that scans a product against its regulatory obligations, collects evidence, and produces a clear compliance posture: what's covered, what's missing, and how to close the gap.

As a father of two, Timothy is deeply committed to helping industries create safe, age-appropriate digital experiences for kids and teens. Bio: Miles Macallister works in Deloitte's dedicated Insights & Research team, where he specialises in Artificial Intelligence. He worked on Deloitte's GenAI in the Workforce research programme, a major study of 25,000 workers across the UK examining how Generative AI is being adopted, its impact on productivity, workforce readiness, trust and governance. Miles' work focuses on translating complex research and data into actionable insights that help organisations understand emerging trends and make informed strategic decisions.

Presentation Info:   Session title: GenAI in the UK Workforce: what’s really going on?  Short session description: Deloitte’s GenAI in the Workforce Survey 2026 is the largest ever survey of the UK workforce’s adoption of GenAI for work. Its 25,000 respondents can be split by sector, industry, region, age, gender, and many other demographics. We find that GenAI use is widespread, but still focused on familiar tasks such as search, email writing, and summaries. Gaps in training, governance and leadership mean many organisations are not yet turning usage into sustained business value.

Bio: Prior to joining Deloitte, Robert spent eleven years at Vodafone Group, setting Group policy positions across a wide variety of regulatory initiatives relevant to the promotion of competition and protection of consumers in digital markets. Robert has over a decade's experience working at regulatory bodies relevant to the sector, spending eight years at Ofcom (and its predecessor Oftel) and four years at the UK's competition and consumer protection authority. This included a secondment to the US Federal Trade Commission working on technology topics in the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Bio: Ben Martin is a Legal Engineer at Wordsmith AI and the author of GDPR for Startups and Scaleups. After being an early adopter of AI-driven efficiency within the privacy team at Trustpilot (FTSE250). Ben is now building an AI-native privacy programme at Wordsmith, alongside helping their customers to build and implement their own AI solutions. He is obsessed with proving that through legal engineering and Ops, legal teams can be transformed from a cost centre into a high-efficiency engine for growth.
