Deloitte joins business leaders virtually for the inaugural global summit of the Climate Governance Initiative, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum. The summit aims to equip non-executive directors with the knowledge and resources to act upon the risks and opportunities that the climate emergency poses to the long-term resilience and business success of their companies.

Deloitte are delighted to be supporters of the Climate Governance Initiative, a community of non-executive directors and subject matter experts, organised in national associations (“Chapters”), with the purpose of promoting the adoption of the World Economic Forum’s Principles for Effective Climate Governance.
The Initiative aims to mobilise, educate and equip non-executive directors with the skills and knowledge necessary to address climate change at board level.
The Global Summit is to be held across multiple time zones from 23-26 March 2021 and is hosted by the national chapters, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum. It will convene board members, regulators, experts, academia and other corporate governance leaders.
The sessions are designed to enable non-executive directors with the knowledge and resources necessary to steer their companies towards a net zero carbon economy by 2050.
