he Chatham House Rule helps create a trusted environment to understand and resolve complex problems. Its guiding spirit is: share the information you receive, but do not reveal the identity of who said it.
The Rule reads as follows:
“When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.”
Barista coffee, provided by Tax Traders, will be available in outside in both wing areas during breaks.
Concurrent sessions
We are running three sets of concurrent sessions.
International Tax/Transfer Pricing, Employment Tax and Avoidance Updates will be held in the Auditorium which is on Level 2 of the Museum directly below the Events Centre (Under the Dome). Instructions on how to get to the Auditorium will be given on the day (simply take the west-side lifts down one level) - please allow a couple of minutes to transit between the Events Centre and the Auditorium. Refer to the "Maps" webpage for the Museum floorplan. Please note that no food or drink can be taken into the Auditorium.
The General Tax, Mergers and Acquisitions and GST Updates will be held Under the Dome.
COVID-19 information
O prioritise the health of our guests and staff, you should not attend if you find yourself to be COVID-19 positive or a close contact within the 7-day isolation period that includes this event, are feeling unwell or are exhibiting cold and flu symptoms on the day. We would strongly encourage attendees to take a RAT test prior to attending. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can no longer attend.
Face coverings and 1-metre distancing are required in the public areas of the Museum, so if you leave the confines of the Deloitte event, please be aware of this. Of course, if you would prefer to wear a mask during our event, please feel free to do so.
Dress code
Smart or business casual for both the Gala Dinner and Conference.
Drinks, canapes and the Gala Dinner
On 8 August, drinks and canapes will start at 6:15pm at Te Ao Mārama South Atrium on the ground floor, Auckland War Memorial Museum. The Gala Dinner will be held on level 3 at Under the Dome commencing at 7:15pm.

For sustainability reasons, we are not providing pens and paper for the Conference so you may wish to bring your own. You can access Conference materials via this webpage. You can download the materials if you wish to print them in advance of the Conference.
South Atrium Access, Auckland Museum
The South Atrium is at the opposite end of the Museum to the Memorial Entrance and Grand Foyer. It can be accessed from the car park by using the P1 and P2 lifts up to the basement level and then access the South Atrium on the ground level either via internal stairs or the lift. As the Gala Dinner and Conference are commencing outside of standard operating hours for the Museum, please ensure you come to the South Atrium Entrance.

Transport
Monday Gala Dinner - Buses to the Museum for the Gala Dinner will leave from SkyCity Hotel and the Deloitte Centre at 6:00pm. Buses will depart the Museum at 10:15pm, 10:45pm and 11:30pm for the Deloitte Centre and the SkyCity Hotel.
Tuesday Conference – Buses to the Museum for the Conference will leave from SkyCity Hotel and the Deloitte Centre at 8:10am. Buses will depart the Museum at 4:00pm for the Deloitte Centre and Auckland Airport.
Parking
There is 3-hour free public parking available outside of Auckland War Memorial Museum. If you wish to park for longer than this, we suggest you use the Museum's underground car park. Fees will apply, up to $30 for full-day parking. Entry is from Maunsell Road, which is on the Newmarket side of the Domain.
There are three options to pay for parking when you visit:
The car park pay station accepts VISA, MasterCard, EFTPOS and cash up to $20 notes. The car park is under CCTV and security surveillance. There is an evening parking rate of $10 for the evening, from 5pm until closure of the car park (at the end of the Gala Dinner at 11:30pm).
Venue
The Conference will be held in Under the Dome, level 3, Auckland War Memorial Museum, Parnell Domain. The Museum can be easily reached from any part of the city, by car or public transport. Conference attendees should enter the Museum at the South Atrium entrance. To access the South Atrium from the carpark, visitors can use the P1 and P2 lifts to make their way up to the Basement Level (B), then access the South Atrium on the Ground Level (G), either via the stairs or the internal lift.
WiFi
The Museum offers complementary WiFi for guests. The Wifi name is “EVENTS” and the password is “1866Artifact”.
