As legal teams and their law firms grapple with the scale and cost of document reviews for litigation, investigation, and regulatory and remediation matters, Deloitte has launched NavigAiteTM, a customisable Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution designed to revolutionise document review and analysis, into the New Zealand market.
Developed by Deloitte in the US as part of Deloitte’s ongoing strategic alliance with Relativity, NavigAite is built for use on RelativityOne and Relativity Server and delivers multiple, industry-leading benefits in data analysis.
NavigAite helps legal teams simplify and materially speed up document-based analysis tasks, including document summarisation, responsiveness, privilege, and personally identifiable information (PII) calls, and initial contract reviews. It significantly reduces the amount of time spent on lengthy first-pass human reviews, thus also reducing the expense and risk of human error that often come with reviewing large volumes of documents.
“NavigAite offers almost unlimited scale to review very large volumes of data and cuts through the noise of first-pass reviews,” says Deloitte partner, Amy Dove.
“It significantly reduces the amount of time spent on document review and analysis, meaning legal teams can focus more on higher-value strategic decisions. It also brings consistency of knowledge and avoids varying levels of quality of analysis.”
NavigAite works with large language models (LLMs) that have an application programme interface (API) and can be used either with organisations’ in-house LLMs or on a model provided by Deloitte. This flexibility can potentially further reduce costs, as it’s not limited to one LLM like many other document review solutions.
“We’re pleased to be able to bring New Zealand’s legal community the advantages of Deloitte’s extensive industry expertise and innovative approach to AI,” says Deloitte partner, Jason Weir.
NavigAite is the 10th accelerator Deloitte has built on RelativityOne and leverages many years of expertise in document review, Generative AI data science, and data analytics. Meeting all of New Zealand’s privacy and security standards, NavigAite is now ready to support New Zealand’s in-house legal teams and/or their external law firms with their data challenges.
