What you can do

Our Audit, Assurance & Reporting Advisory (AARA) team brings together collective expertise across the ecosystem of an organisation’s practices. Using deep accounting knowledge, the team provides clients with support across the full suite of assurance services from statutory and internal audits, sustainability assurance, controls to improve overall business practices, and the review and assessment of internal processes, to all aspects of financial and non-financial reporting. 

As part of the AARA team, you’ll work with a broad range of clients from various industries, spanning multinational companies to private organisations, and government agencies.  

As part of our team, you’ll develop essential skills such as critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and the ability to work collaboratively. You’ll learn about accounting principles, financial reporting frameworks, and develop an understanding of the various industries and clients you work with. 

Our China Services Group (CSG) works locally to create global connections. Our team of high performing and bilingual professionals from across Deloitte works with both New Zealand and Chinese clients, from multinational companies to individuals, looking to expand into China or invest in New Zealand.

Our end-to-end integrated offering of valuation, financial modelling, and mergers and acquisitions, through to restructuring, turnaround and cost transformation, ensures that our clients are supported throughout their complete transaction lifecycle.  

As part of our Corporate Finance team, you’ll get to work on unique datasets and digital assets, using cutting-edge tools to connect deep industry knowledge and unlock value for our clients. 

Our Enabling Areas team is a cornerstone of Deloitte’s success, embodying a multi-disciplinary collective of creatives, strategists, technologists, and specialists. Our Tax & Business Advisory teams work with fast-growing businesses, established enterprises, and families, to bring together the right people and expertise to solve their most burning issues. We support clients to focus on the running of their businesses, providing pragmatic, commercial, and solution-driven advice in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns, tax planning, technical accounting advice, management accounting, and virtual CFO. Working in our Tax team, you’ll gain exposure to corporate tax, international tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and tax planning. You’ll also work closely with clients to help them understand their tax obligations, identify tax-saving opportunities, and ensure compliance. 

In Business Advisory, you’ll learn from leaders and support the provision of strategic advice and solutions to help clients address their unique financial business challenges. This could involve conducting financial analysis, developing business plans, performing due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, evaluating risk management strategies, and assisting with regulatory compliance alongside the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
