Deloitte announces 2025 Fast 50 regional category winners

Auckland, 29 October 2025 – As the Deloitte Fast 50 celebrates 25 years of recognising New Zealand’s most dynamic and high-growth businesses, the 2025 regional category winners have now been revealed at events across the country.

The first step in the Fast 50 awards process, the regional winner announcements provide the pool of finalists from which the Fast 50 index will be compiled, with the businesses ranked in order of their revenue growth percentage and announced in November.

The 25-year anniversary gives the Fast 50 a chance to reflect on the best of the private businesses to have placed on the index since 2001, while also searching for the next wave of innovators, disruptors and industry leaders driving Aotearoa’s economy forward.

The Fast 50 index honours businesses that have achieved remarkable revenue growth over the past three years, while the Master of Growth index celebrates larger businesses who have experienced sustained success over a five-year period. Together, they showcase the breadth of entrepreneurial talent across the country, from emerging startups to established powerhouses.

“This year is particularly special,” says James Arlidge, Deloitte Private partner and national Fast 50 lead. “We’re not only celebrating the 2025 finalists but also reflecting on a quarter century of growth stories that have shaped New Zealand’s business landscape. Our regional finalists are continuing that legacy – scaling quickly, innovating boldly, and contributing meaningfully to their industries and communities.”

The 2025 programme, with a ‘Barrier Breakers, Future Makers’ theme, builds on a rich history of success, with alumni including Trade Me, 2degrees, Legend Story Studios, Delivereasy, and 42 Below. In honour of the programme’s milestone year, Deloitte has also released a ‘Top 25 over 25 years’ index, ranking the fastest-growing businesses of all time by revenue growth.

This year’s finalists span a range of sectors, with three new categories introduced to reflect the evolving business environment. These are healthcare, Māori and Pasifika-owned businesses and food and beverage.

Speaking to trends among the Fast 50 regional category winners this year, Arlidge highlights that “many of the businesses are harnessing AI to drive innovation, streamline operations, and personalise customer experiences at scale, with AI becoming increasingly central to growth strategies.”

A notable trend among these high-growth companies is the emergence of dedicated AI leaders – individuals in senior roles who are guiding their organisations through digital transformation and ensuring AI is embedded responsibly and strategically.

Finalists were today celebrated at regional events across the country and invited to the national awards ceremony on 27 November at Auckland’s Eden Park, where the final rankings and national category winners will be announced.

The Deloitte Fast 50 is proudly sponsored by BNZ, supporting the recognition of businesses that are redefining what fast growth looks like in Aotearoa.
