Auckland, 4 June 2026 – Deloitte New Zealand has announced the appointment of 12 new partners, effective 1 June 2026, reinforcing the firm’s leadership depth and positioning it for continued growth.
These new partners showcase deliberate investment in leadership across the full lifecycle of transformation, from strategy and capital decisions, through delivery and modernisation, to assurance and long-term value, reflecting where client demand is growing fastest.
Deloitte New Zealand Chief Executive, Mike Horne, says the appointments mirror both the strength of the firm’s talent pipeline and its focus on investing in capability, even in a challenging economic environment.
“Promoting and appointing this group of leaders demonstrates our confidence in the future and ensures we’re well positioned to support our clients through an increasingly complex and fast-moving environment,” says Horne.
The newly appointed partners span Deloitte New Zealand’s key business areas, including Audit and Assurance, Strategy, Risk and Transactions, Tax and Business Advisory, and Technology and Transformation.
In Audit, Assurance and Reporting Advisory, Auckland-based Jack Kilkenny and Wellington-based Meena Patel bring strong expertise in controls and digital assurance, supporting organisations to navigate complex technology, data and AI-related risks.
Within Strategy, Risk and Transactions, Auckland-based Alyce Butler returns to Deloitte as a New Zealand and Netherlands alumna with deep insight into the food and agriculture sector, alongside Hamilton-based Trevor Manners, who specialises in infrastructure and capital projects across the asset lifecycle.
Tax and Business Advisory sees the promotion of Tauranga-based Alexis Tapsell and Auckland-based Jason Yang, both recognised for their work supporting corporates, private clients and high-growth technology businesses to achieve sustainable growth.
The largest group of appointments sits within Technology and Transformation, reflecting strong client demand for support across digital, cloud and AI-led change. New partners include Auckland-based Kirsten Apolles, Holly Rennie, and Katie Evans; Kirsten brings deep Oracle Cloud and ERP transformation experience, while Holly focuses on helping Deloitte’s Financial Services Industry (FSI) clients improve customer and commercial outcomes through technology‑enabled operating models. Katie supports businesses through complex change programmes, specialising in organisation design, change management and workforce transformation.
Wellington-based Matt Cooper and Jonathan Munden have complementary skillsets with Matt bringing global experience delivering complex ServiceNow transformation programmes, while Jonathan has expertise in leading technology-enabled change, using agile delivery, cloud, and design thinking to modernise core systems and unlock tangible business value.
Christchurch-based Yvette Keys supports both public and private sector organisations through large‑scale change, leadership development and workforce transformation.
These six new Technology and Transformation partners enhance Deloitte’s ability to support clients across a broad range of technology-driven priorities.
Horne says the breadth of expertise across the new partner group highlights Deloitte’s commitment to helping organisations respond to disruption and unlock opportunities.
“Our clients are navigating significant change as technology, sustainability and market dynamics continue to shift. These new partners have strengths that are key in helping clients cut through complexity and move forward with clarity and confidence.”
Alongside the partner appointments, 14 directors have also been promoted, reflecting a continued focus on developing talent and supporting progression into leadership roles.
“It’s a privilege to watch our new leaders come through. Their development speaks to the culture we’ve built right across Deloitte New Zealand, and the opportunities that our people have to grow, step up and lead,” says Horne.
